Privacy Policy

The short version

Deploy Horoscope stores your horoscope preferences (zodiac sign, optional birthdate, optional city) in cookies on your own browser. Nothing is sent to a database. There is no advertising. If the operator enables Google Analytics (via GA_MEASUREMENT_ID), anonymous page-view data is collected — see the section below.

What we store and where

Your preferences live entirely in four browser cookies:

All cookies are first-party, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax. They contain no tracking identifiers and are never read by third parties. Your form selections are also saved to localStorage in your browser for convenience.

Location detection (Nominatim)

If you click "Detect" on the setup page, your browser requests your location. If you allow it, your coordinates are sent in a single request to Nominatim, the geocoding service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, to look up the nearest city name. Your coordinates are not stored on our servers. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

When the site operator configures a Google Analytics measurement ID, the site loads a Google Analytics script that collects anonymous page-view data (pages visited, approximate location inferred by Google from your IP, browser type). No personally identifiable information is sent by the application. You can opt out by using a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on. When no measurement ID is configured, no analytics script is loaded.

Google Fonts

We load the Space Grotesk typeface from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Your rights

You can delete all stored preferences at any time by clicking Reset preferences or by clearing cookies for deployhoroscope.com in your browser settings. If you are in the EU and have concerns under GDPR, contact Alex via rembish.org.
